Get Ready to Hop!

The Stampendous Design Team is excited to announce that we will be hopping with the team from Tombow USA in a Blog Hop this weekend! You won't want to miss a day of it!

To kick things off, the Stampendous Design Team is sharing some creations made with the wonderful products Tombow so generously shared with us.

Today I'm showing you a quick and easy technique, perfect for Halloween.

Spooktacular!
This technique is sometimes called the Subtractive Eraser Technique, and sometimes you'll see it referred to as Pencil Magic. It only requires these simple tools:

  • Simply rub the Tombow Homo-Graph 2B pencil on sand paper (or an emory board) and collect the "dust" on a small piece of wax paper
  • Pick up the shavings with a foam applicator and rub it over white cardstock,  shave more as you need it to fill the cardstock
  • Place your stencil where you want it, hold it in place or use a little removable tape to keep it in place, and use the MONO NP Eraser to rub away the pencil from the stencil openings.  This eraser works perfectly, plus they have a tiny eraser, the MONO zero, that is AWESOME!
see how much detail you can get!
  • I did a second stencil too

That's it! Mount it onto a great card and you're finished. Here's a close up:

Stampendous has a great video on this technique, here's the link for the Pencil Magic video.

So check out some other Pre-hop ideas with these designers today!

Happy Creating,
Louise

Fantastic design, Louise! The Tombow eraser works so well with the Dreamweaver Stencils, it created a wonderful eerie background. Thank you for sharing today!

This looks so cool! I love how simple this is and still gives such a great look. It also seems to look great with Halloween designs to give an other worldly look.
