This fun card combines products and techniques from Dreamweaver, Stampendous and NK Studios!
"Eeeeek! A Spider!"
Let's start with the background:
  • Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of black cardstock
  • Use a palette knife to put a small dab of Silver Embossing Paste on your craft mat
  • Use your finger to pick up some paste and spread it around the black paper, you don't have to make it even, or cover everything, just swipe a thin coat on the paper (I kept all my swipes going the same direction), let dry, this only takes a couple of minutes because it's such a thin layer
  • Use the background stamp from the NK Studios Grunge stamp set (NKCRS03) and Radiant Neon Electric Orange ink from Tsukineko to stamp the image two or three times on the dry Silver paste, clean the stamp
  • Repeat the stamping using Electric Green, clean the stamp and then Electric Purple
  • Sprinkle the image with Stampendous Crystal Embossing Powder and heat set, this gives the background a lot of sparkle!
  • Edge with a black marker
It's hard to get the silver paste to show right in photos, but it gives an awesome shine to the background!
For the Spider Web:
  • Stamp the background pattern on black paper using the same three inks and the Crystal embossing powder, heat set, let cool
  • Tape the Spider Web stencil (DWLJ816) to the embossed black background with removable tape
  • Use a palette knife and paste spreader to apply Silver Embossing Paste to the web, remove stencil, sprinkle with Crystal embossing powder, heat set being careful not to overheat, let cool
  • Tape the Spider stencil (DWLS28) over the web with removable tape
  • Use a palette knife to apply Glossy Black Embossing Paste on the spider, remove stencil and sprinkle lightly with Fran-tage aged wine embossing enamel, heat set
  • Trim the top and left edges close to the center of the web, then tear the "web" edge to the size you want

The sentiment:
  • Use  Electric Purple ink on black paper to stamp the HAPPY HAUNTINGS words from the Halloween Haunts Perfectly Clear set (SSC1227), sprinkle with aged wine embossing enamel, heat set
  • Stamp part of the NK Studios background stamp in the corners, sprinkle with Crystal embossing powder, heat set
  • Tear the edges around the saying, ink edges with Electric Orange and Green
To assemble the card:
  • Fold a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of orange cardstock in half to form an A2  top fold card
  • Rouge the edges of the orange card with the Electric Purple ink
  • Attach the background layer to the card front
  • Attach the spider web to the upper left corner of the background
  • Use foam tape to add th sentiment
  • Thread two small orange buttons (from Buttons Galore) with purple floss and attach them to the sentiment using Mini Glue Dots
