Winter Friends!

DECEMBER!!! Wait, how did this happen! I'm not anywhere near ready for it to be December and definitely am not ready for WINTER! But we don't really have a say, so let's brighten up the week with some darling samples using the sweet Winter Friends set from Stampendous!

Today I'm sharing a card featuring the new penguin from the Winter Friends Stamp Set (CRS5091) and the matching Die Cut Set (DCS5091). I've paired him with the new Festive Background Stamp (CRR272).  I shared this card right after our release in July, but just in case you weren't ready for Christmas in July, here it is again!

Instructions:
Step 1:  Fold a 7" x 10" piece of Madras Blue cardstock in half to form an A7 card
Step 2:  Stamp the Festive Background on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, color with Copic Markers, trim close to the design to a finished size of 3 5/8" x 5"
Step 3: Stamp the Penguin, Penguin arms, Hat, and Candy Cane from the Winter Friends set on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, color with Copic Markers
Step 4:  Use the matching Winter Friends Die Cut Set to die cut the colored images
Step 5:  Adhere a 3 7/8" x 5 1/4" piece of Winter Lake to a 4 1/8" x 5 1/2" piece of Ocean Side and adhere both to the card front towards the top
Step 6: Adhere the Festive Background to the two blue mats
Step 7:  Apply a 3/4" x 4 1/8" piece of double-sided adhesive across the Festive Background layer about 1" up from the bottom, remove release paper and sprinkle with Crystal Glitter
Step 8: Adhere a 1 7/8" x 2 5/8" piece of white to a 2" x 2 3/4" piece of Winter Lake, lining up the bottom edges, adhere above the glittered piece towards the left a little
Step 9: Use foam tape to place the Candy Cane and Arms on the Penguin, adhere hat, use foam tape to add the Penguin to the card over the white and blue mat and glitter strip
Step 10: Take the top release paper off three white foam squares and cover with Crystal Glitter, adhere one to the left of the Penguin, and two to the right

Here's a close up to show you how perfectly the die set matches the stamps. I love how close the cuts are to the outline.

Happy Creating,
