Whispered Birthday Greetings!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card I created featuring the darling PYL Whisper Birthday stamp (PLR01) paired with the Happy Day! sentiment from the Happy Birds set (SSC1255). Add a "springy" background using the Picasso Tool (DWLL332), some bright cardstock and you have a great birthday card for a dear friend!

Instructions

Step 1:  Fold a 7" x 10" piece of Tuscan Sun cardstock in half to form a card
Step 2:  Stamp the Whisper Birthday image on a 4 1/4" 5 1/2" piece of Mixed Media paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, color with Copic Markers
Step 3: Stamp the sentiment on a 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of white, color with Copic Markers, cut out sentiment
Step 4:  Use the Picasso tool and a 1/2" brush with Bahama Blue ink to add some "clouds" to the background around the Whisper Birthday image, use green markers to add a "grassy" area near the bottom edge, edge with blue and green markers, use the glitter pen on the wings and mushroom dots
Step 5: Mat the Whisper Birthday on a r 1/2" x 5 3/4" piece of Pimento cardstock
Step 6:  Adhere the matted image to the card front
Step 7: Use foam tape to add the sentiment

Chilly Days!

The weather has turned chilly here in the last few days, but we can't really complain, after all, it is January! 

The Stampendous Design Team members are sharing our "Snow Wonderful" creations this week.  Last week I shared an ATC (Artist Trading Card) I had made for the ATC group I belong to that had a "Tiles" theme.  This week I'm showing you an ATC I created for our December theme of "Glitter".  It features the the beautiful Snowflake Cascade (FMS4042) stencil with a sentiment from the Holiday Expressions (SSC1231) set.

Royal Blue Cardstock

Double sided adhesive sheet
Soft brush
Foam Tape

Instructions:
Step 1:  Cut a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of royal blue cardstock, adhere a 2 1/4" x  3 1/4" piece of double sided adhesive to the blue paper
Step 2:  Place the snowflake stencil face down on a paper towel or craft mat and pat the back with VersaMark ink
Step 3: Remove the release paper from the blue paper and place the stencil ink side down on the sticky paper, use the release paper to press the stencil firmly to the sticky surface
Step 4:  Sprinkle China Blue micro glitter over the openings of the stencil and rub in with your finger or a piece of release paper, tap off all extra, brush off excess glitter with a soft brush
Step 5:  Turn the glittered piece face down on a paper towel and carefully pull the glittered image off the stencil, keeping the stencil flat on the table
Step 6:  Sprinkle the background with the Crystal micro glitter, rub gently, tap off extra
Step 7:  Stamp the sentiment, mount on a matching blue mat and add to the Snowflakes using foam tape
Step 8:  Adhere a piece of cardstock to the back with your ATC information!

Winter Fun!

Winter has arrived in southern Ohio. The temperatures have dropped and we definitely need our winter jackets and gloves now! But with the cold weather comes the opportunity to enjoy a fun winter past time, ice skating!  

Our Stampendous theme of "Snow Wonderful" this week, immediately made me think of this fun card I made for our catalog. It's quick and easy to make and perfect for winter birthdays!

Removable Tape
Creative Impressions 1/4" Lt Silver Gray Glimmer Ribbon 70267
Beacon Adhesives FabriTac
Foam Tape

Instructions:
Step 1:  Fold a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Spearmint cardstock in half to form a top fold A2 card
Step 2: Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of the Graphic 45 paper, edge with BG72, adhere to the card front
Step 3:  Tape the Skates stencil to a 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" piece of the Graphic 45 paper with removable tape
Step 4:  Use a palette knife and paste spreader to apply Glossy White Embossing Paste over the design, remove stencil and place in water for cleaning later, sprinkle the wet paste with Crystal Glitter, tap off extra, let paste dry
Step 5: When the paste is dry, use the BG72 marker to edge the Skates piece, then adhere to a 3" x 4" mat of Spearmint
Step 6: Use foam tape to add theSkates to the card front, setting them at an angle
Step 7:  Use a FabriTac to attach a piece of silver ribbon near the bottom of the card, tie a small matching bow and use the FabriTac to add the bow

Sunny Tile ATC

To start 2017, the Stampendous Design Team is sharing some of our creations from the wonderful line of mosaic stamps released in October. This is my creation using the beautiful Sunny Tile stamp.

Stampendous:
CRW178 Cling Sunny Tile Stamp
FREG004 Deep Impressions Chunky Embossing Enamels
Embossing Powders - Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Green
Acrylic Handle

Plus:
Chipboard 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"
Versafine Onyx Black Ink
Pancake Griddle

Instructions:
Step 1:  Heat an electric pancake griddle to 350 degrees, place a small non-stick craft mat on the griddle
Step 2:  Place the chipboard piece on the craft mat and cover the surface with Clear Deep Impressions embossing enamel, cover with a glass cover so you can see it melting
Step 3: Sprinkle the melting enamel with various colors of embossing power and continue to melt
Step 4:  Ink the Sunny Tile stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink and set aside
Step 5:  When the powders are melted, carefully remove the craft mat with the chipboard and stamp the Sunny Tile image into the hot powders, let cool slightly, then carefully remove the stamp, let enamel cool and harden
Step 6:  Use a craft knife to trim edges, smooth the edges by gently pressing them on the hot griddle

Step 8:  Adhere a piece of cardstock to the back with your ATC information!

Flower Quatrefoil

Happy Thursday! The Stampendous Design Team uses Thursday's to share projects using stencils so today I'm sharing this card I made for the October catalog. The beautiful Dreamweaver Flower Quatrefoil even works with this week's Mosaic theme!

Instructions:
Step 1:  Fold a 4 3/4" x 12" piece of Fireflies cardstock in half to form an A6 card
Step 2: Use the Rubber Embossing Mat and die cut machine to dry emboss a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white using the Flower Quatrefoil stencil
Step 3: With the stencil in place over the embossed design, use a 1/4" stencil brush to add yellow ink to the center of each flower, use a 1/2" brush to color the flowers with the lavender ink, trim the edge close to the design
Step 4:  Stamp the sentiment on a 2 1/8" x 3" piece of white with Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Step 5:  Tape the Small Dragonfly stencil over the sentiment with removable tape, use the lavender ink and 1/2" brush to add the image over the saying
Step 6: Adhere the saying to a 2 1/4" x 3 1/8" piece of Fireflies cardstock
Step 7:  Adhere the Flower Quatrefoil image to the card front
Step 8: Use foam tape to add the saying
Step 9:  Tie a small bow and adhere to the saying using Fabri-Tac

Mosaic Bird

Happy New Year everyone! I hope your holidays were filled with much joy and laughter and the new year brings continued blessings!

Instructions:
Step 1:  Fold a 7" x 10" piece of Purple cardstock in half to form an A7 card
Step 2:  Stamp the Mosaic Bird image on a 4" x 4" piece of white cardstock with Tuxedo Black ink, color with Copic markers
Step 3: Cut a 3" x 3" piece of Purple cardstock, use a ruler and pencil to mark a small square around the bird image so it will fit on the purple mat, cut out with a scissors around the bird leaving a small white "box", edge with a black marker
Step 4:  Cut two 12" pieces of the yellow ribbon, wrap each piece around to the front of the card and tape in place
Step 5:  Cut a 4" x 4" piece of the purple plaid paper, and a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" piece of white, adhere together then adhere to the card front over the ribbon
Step 6:  Adhere the the purple mat to the plaid paper near the bottom right corner
Step 7:  Use foam tape to attach the Mosaic Bird image on the purple mat
Step 8:  Stamp the sentiment on a small piece of white, trim close, edge with black marker, cut small mats from the plaid and white paper, use foam tape to add the sentiment to the mats, adhere to the card front
