Dogwood Birds

Welcome to a new year of crafting fun! The Stampendous Design team is sharing some of our creations using the new 6" x 6" Cling Rubber Stamps recently released by Stampendous. They are beautiful and help making backgrounds a quick, easy step in your card making fun! They are perfect for all your other projects too, of course.

My blog last week featured the new Cling Sunny Sketch Rubber Stamp, click here to see it if you missed it. It's one of my favorites (although, I say that about most of my stamps!).

My card today features the adorable Dogwood Birds (W196) stamp nestled on a background created with the Cling Blossom Scroll stamp (6CR003). The Fitted Frames from Stampendous are designed to fitted all the various sizes of their stamps perfectly. There are two sets of Fitted Frames, here is the other set.

Instructions:

Step 2: Use the Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the Dogwood Birds image on a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of white cardstock, color with Copic Markers
Step 3:  Stamp the Cling Blossom Scroll image on a 6" x 6' piece of white cardstock, use foam applicators to apply ink to the image, trim to 4 1/2" x 4 3/4", adhere near the left side of the card front
Step 4:  Die cut the birds with Fitted Frames B and cut a matching mat from Dark Brown
Step 5:  Adhere a 3/4" x 7" strip of green cardstock to a 1" x 7" strip of brown, adhere across the front of the card
Step 6:   Use foam tape to add the Dogwood Birds matted image to the card near the right side
Step 7:  Color the 3 Candis to match and adhere to the green strip

This card would make a great spring card. Love the Scroll Blossom background stamp teamed up with the birds. Can see how useful these large background stamps could be.
