We received some great adhesives products to use in our projects, PLUS some Denim Art Journal and Pennants Set from Donna Salazar Designs that are part of the Scrapbook Adhesive line!

Yesterday I showed you the Denim Album I created, click here if you missed it. Today I'm focusing on the adhesives they sent, and by focusing I mean they are part of the focal point of this bright design featuring the Dreamweaver Rooster Stencil (DWLG732). See if you can guess what I mean before you read the instructions!

Stampendous:
PK03 Gemstone Embossing Kit - Jade, Carnelian, Sapphire
EPA50 HT400 Embossing Heat Tool

Dreamweaver:
Plus:
My Colors Cardstock - Tuscan Sun
DCWV Corrugated cardstock - kahki
DCWV Red Cork Paper
Graphic 45 Cardstock Aquatic Passage 4501321
Brilliance Inks- Rocket Red
Splendor Ink Pad - Antique
Scrapbook Adhesive White Foam Squares
Removable tape

Instructions:
Step 1:  Fold a 7" x 10" piece of Tuscan Sun cardstock in half to form an A7 card
Step 2:  Cut a 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of the corrugated paper
Step 3: Tape the Fleur De Lis stencil to the corrugated paper with removable tape, use a 1/4" stencil brush to apply the Rocket Red ink through the stencil, move the stencil lining up the design to fill the paper, run the ink pad along the outside edges to finish
Step 4:  Adhere the Fleur De Lis piece to the card front near the upper left edge
Step 5:  Tape the Rooster stencil to a 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of red cork paper with removable tape
Step 6: Use a palette knife and paste spreader to apply a coat of Regular Embossing Paster over the image, remove the stencil and place in water for cleaning, let paste dry
Step 7: Place the clean dry stencil back over the dry paste and use 1/8" and 1/4" stencil brushes to apply various colors from the Antique ink pad to the dry paste, use the Picasso tool to help keep colors clean, remove and clean the stencil
Step 8:  Cut a 4" x 5" piece of the yellow Graphic45 paper, run the Rocket Red ink pad along the edges
Step 9:  Carefully tear two edges of the red cork paper to give it a more rustic look, adhere the Rooster to the yellow mat
Step 10: Adhere the image to the card front with double sided adhesive, use foam tape just along the bottom edge
Step 11:  Take the release paper off one white foam square, sprinkle the sticky surface with one of the Gemstone embossing powders, heat set, repeat with two more colors
Step 12:  Place the embossed foam squares along the bottom right side of the card

Foam squares aren't just for popping images! They make great embellishments too.  Micro glitter also works on them!

Here's who's hopping today!

Happy Creating,
Louise

  1. Lovely sunny card! Embossing paste does
make a difference to a card and that is
why the Rooster stands out as it does.
    Enjoying this blog hop.
