The Stampendous design team has been playing with our friends at DecoArt. Mixed Media Artist and DecoArt International Education Coordinator Andy Skinner has designed some fantastic stamps for Stampendous, and we’ve been showing them off all week long.
Andy, along with his team of international mixed media artists including Julia Stratford-Wright, Mark Gould, Mel Hookham, and Jools Robertson have been playing too!
Of course there are PRIZES!
You’ll want to get your commenting fingers ready…so put down your paintbrushes! Each comment on a post this week will enter you to win a fabulous prize package! (one comment per post, per person) Contest open to everyone!!
We have THREE packages and each has a Fluid Media Starter Kit, all three of Andy Skinner’s new Stampendous Stamp sets, and a Jumbo Acrylic Handle.
Yesterday I shared a Mixed Media piece with you (click here to see it!). Andy's stamps and the DecoArt products lend themselves perfectly to the Mixed Media style, but sometimes you need to created a quick, fun card with a more "Shabby Chic" look! That's the style I'm sharing with you today:
The beautiful Cling Shabby Chic stamp set (ASCRS05) contains 6 great, versatile stamps that can be paired with the background stamps from the Cling Toxic Stamp Set (ASCRS06) as I show here.
The DecoArt MEDIA fluid acrylics are an ideal media to use on our Creative Palette to create backgrounds or an "ink pad".
Place a piece of white mixed media cardstock over the wet paint and immediately peel it back off, transferring most of the paint to the paper.  Use the brayer to spread back out the remaining paint and use it like an ink pad with the stamps you are using. Be sure to was your stamps right after stamping so the paint does not dry on the stamps.
The stamped images and backgrounds were die cut using the Fitted Frames A Cutting Die Set (DCP1005) from Stampendous, size V. Some pretty background paper, a wonder ribbon from May Arts and you have a beautiful card. I think this would be a pretty birthday or shower card.
