Believe!

"It's beginning to look a LOT like Christmas,
Everywhere I go..."

So, now that I've got that song stuck in your head for the day, let's see what the Stampendendous Design Team is sharing this week. Our weekly theme has been "The Big Fat Man with the Long White Beard!". Yup, he's checking to see who's been naughty and nice so you better watch out! But we've also been featuring Action Wobble on some posts this week. There's been a lot to see!

Today is Dreamweaver Thursday and what better stencil to match this week's theme than this fun Sleigh and Reindeer Stencil (DWLL556). It fits the theme perfectly and is done with the Double Glitter Technique which makes it sparkly and fun. The saying is "Spirit of Christmas" (CRH321) from Stampendous embossed with red embossing powder. No, it doesn't use an Action Wobble, but some of the other posts today do!

Hurry Santa!

The Stampendous Design Team has a GREAT week of ideas for you with our "The Big Fat Man with the Long White Beard" theme! Be sure to go back to Monday's posts if you missed them, just click this link Stampendous Blog.  But that's not all! We are also featuring this fabulous gadget from Action Wobble!

These great little gadgets make your image wobble and bobble!

Today I used an action wobble with the darling Sledding Santa stamp (HGRCP07) from the Stampendous July 2015 catalog. I just LOVE this image! He was the perfect choice to for my wobbly card!

You can create quick and easy cards with the action wobble. Here's how I did it:
  • Fold a 6" x 9 1/2" piece of green cardstock in half to form an A6 card
  • Cut a piece of WeR Memory Keepers Yultide Houndstooth (or any paper of your choice of course) to 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" and edge with Copic YG23, adhere it to the card front
  • Cut another piece of the decorative paper 3 1/4" x 4 1/8", but use the red side on the back, this will be the mat for our image
  • Stamp the Sledding Santa image twice on Mixed Media White Paper (3" x 3 7/8" each) using Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Color with Copic Sketch Markers (or whatever you like to color with) (E51, E31, E33, E37, R30, R27, R29, YG03, YG23, YG63, T1, T4, B60, B0000)
  • Cut out the bear and hat from one image
  • Adhere the full image to red mat, then to the card front
  • Use foam tape to add the hat, put the wobble on the back of the cut out bear (you will need to trim it a little along one edge) and add the bear over the matching image on the card
  • Stamp the saying on 1 3/8" x 1 5/8" piece of white with black ink, then adhere to a green mat cut 1 1/2" x 1 3/4", use foam tape to add the saying to the card
  • Place removable tape along the red on the bottom and sides
  • Use a palette knife to apply some Regular Embossing Paste along the bottom of the image to look like snow drifts, sprinkle the wet paste with Crystal Snow White ultrafine glitter (GX900U), tap off extra, carefully remove the tape and let paste dry well

Check out how he's "wobbling" down the hill!

Here's who's playing along today!

Cling Bird Blossom Stamps Set

Bird Blossom Die Cut Set

Jumbo Acrylic Perfectly Clear Stamp Handle

Canvas Corp® Canvas Shoulder Bag
Surprise Goodie Bag of Canvas Corp Product

Australian fans can comment for a chance to win a Stampendous Stamp, a Dreamweaver Stencil and a surprise Stampendous goodie.

Sometimes looking at a Blank Canvas (catchy title right!) can be intimidating and it takes a little while to come up with an idea. But other times, you just know from the start what you want to do! This bag is the perfect size for the newer, larger cell phones, throw in a pack of tissues and a credit card and you're ready to go!

This bag can be kept simple, like mine, or decorated a bit more, like a couple you may have seen on Monday. Just wait until you see tomorrow's and Friday's! I was in a more simple mood when I did this. It is very easy.

  • Color the background with Copic markers (mine were Y21, YR21, Y17, YG93, YG95
  • Stamp the Queen Annes Lace several times, first with StazOn Spiced Chai, then a couple of times with StazOn Jet Black, heat set
  • Tape the Three Butterflies stencil (DWLL591) to the lower left side, and apply a coat of Matte Black Embossing Paste over the stencil, remove stencil, place in water for cleaning, let paste dry thoroughly
  • Color the outer part of the strap and stamp with one of the background stamps from the Andy Skinner Industrial set (ASCRS03) using the StazOn Spiced Chai
  • Thread some green ribbon through a large brown button (from Buttons Galore) and use ZipDry to add it to the top right corner of the bag
  • Use Beacon FabriTac to add a small piece of black mesh from May Arts along the bottom
That's it! Very easy. Here's a closer look:

Fall Leaves

Fall is speeding by this year. Our Stampendous team is sharing Fall Fun projects this week. I recently was lucky enough to spend a weekend crafting with my daughter, a couple of my sisters, nieces, and great-nieces, We had so much fun creating some easy fall projects. Here's a small sample of our creations that weekend!

Of course, we managed to find some time to do a little shopping in Geneva too! It was a perfect day for a walk.

And we even made time for the Pumpkin Farm!

Fall is my absolute FAVORITE time of the year! The fall card I'm sharing with you today is not a "traditional" fall colored card, but it still shows off the beautiful Lg Oak Leaves Stencil (DWLG754) perfectly. Zentangle designs work great in stencils with large open areas, and I love to tangle!

My mischievous little mice are called "Fence Falling", and are featured in the July 2015 Stampendous Catalog.   Don't they just look like they are having a ball playing this game!
