Dreamweaver Double

Did you do a double take on the date? I know it's not Thursday, but the Stampendous Design Team is showcasing Dreamweaver Stencils this whole week! How lucky are we to get to work with these beautiful products, very lucky!

I love the I Beam background stencil, it is so versatile. You can paste it, emboss it, glitter it, or just stencil color like I did. It looks fabulous no matter what technique you use. And the feather...well the Feather stencil is fabulous too! Put them together and WOW, a great combination.

This was so easy to do. Stencil the background on the front of a blue card using 1/2" stencil brushes and a combination of blue and green ink, the design is easy to line back up depending on the size of card you use. Stencil a second, narrower piece to match, layer that on green then blue cardstock, tie a beautiful May Arts ribbon around it, and attach it to the front of the card.

The feather was paste embossed on the same blue cardstock using Glossy Blue Embossing Paste (which is discontinued, but if you hurry, you can still find it at Stencil with Style!), but any of the pastes will work as long as the glitter you use is an opaque glitter (the label will tell you if it's transparent or opaque usually).  After removing the stencil and placing it in water for cleaning later, I sprinkled the wet paste with a combination of blue and green glitters, let that dry thoroughly, then cut out the feather. Use foam mounting tape to add the feather to the card tucking the end under the ribbon.

These team members have more Dreamweaver ideas to share today too:

Louise;

I would love the directions for the glass lantern with the trees.

I could not find it anywhere.
