Instructions
Step 1: Fold a 7" x 10" piece of kraft cardstock in half to form a top-fold card
Step 2: Tape the Leafless tree stencil along the left side of the card front with removable tape and use a 1/2" stencil brush to rouge black in through the openings, repeat near the right side of the card, clean and dry the stencil
Step 3: Stamp the Leaf Plunge image on a 3" x 4" piece of white Multi media cardstock and color with Chameleon pens, use the Picasso stencil and the Bahama Blue ink to create some clouds in the background, mat on a 3 1/8" x 4 1/8" black mat
Step 4: Use the tape ink transfer technique to create a background on a 4" x 5" piece of Natural cardstock. The tape ink transfer is done by taking a piece of 1" painters tape that is slightly longer than the width of your paper, running it sticky side down across your ink pad, then "transferring" the ink to your paper by laying the tape across it and pressing down gently then lifting off the tape, repeat down the paper with colors of your choice until the paper is how you want it. I used mustard seed near the top, spiced marmalade where it met the "ground", and crushed olive and forest moss at the bottom. Rouge the edges with the black ink. dry well
Step 5: Tape the Leafless tree stencil near the left side of the background paper with removable tape
Step 6: Use a palette knife and paste spreader to apply a coat of Matte Black Embossing Paste over the stencil, remove stencil and clean, let paste dry
Step 7: Add 1/2" strips of black cardstock along the two sides of the pasted image, and adhere to the front of the card near the left side (Notice the "Spotlight" technique where the background image and colored image match up, I planned ahead so my tree images on the left side line up, I know, I'm crazy, but it looks nice!)
Step 8: Use foam tape to add the mouse image to the card front

Oh my! This is a stunning card, I just love every detail about this mischievous leaf pile jumping mouse! And no you're not stretching the theme. Kids destroying a perfectly and laboriously made pile of leaves is mischief at it's best.
