CA Poppies Stencil

It's Thursday, so that means the Stampendous Design Team members are sharing ideas using our beautiful line of stencils. Here's one I did a while back for Stampendous featuring the gorgeous CA Poppies Stencil from the Dreamweaver line.

Stampendous:
MPW811 Mixed Media White Paper
DCP1005 Fitted Frames A Die Cut - size Q
GM220U Multi Ultra Fine Crystal Glitter

Dreamweaver:
DWLL521 CA Poppies Stencil
DWLL332 Picasso Stencil
DWDEPT Translucent Embossing Paste
DWDPK Dreamweaver Palette Knife
DWLM2010 Paste Spreader

Plus:
My Colors Cardstock - Sweet Potato
Graphic 45 Cardstock Aquatic Passage 4501321
Radiant Neon Inks - Electric Yellow, Electric Orange, Electric Coral, Electric Green
Memento Tuxedo Black
Ink Blusher
Double sided tape
Scrapbook Adhesive White Foam Squares
Removable tape
May Arts Ribbon

Instructions:
Step 1:  Fold a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Sweet Potato cardstock in half to form a top fold A2 card
Step 2: Tape the CA Poppies stencil to a 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" piece of white cardstock with removable tape
Step 3:  Use stencil brushes to apply inks to the image, using the Picasso tool to help with color placement, remove the stencil, clean and dry the stencil
Step 4:  Tape the Poppies stencil back over the colored image
Step 5:  Use a palette knife and paste spreader to apply a coat of Translucent embossing paste over the image, remove stencil and place in water for cleaning
Step 6: Immediately sprinkle the wet paste with Crystal Glitter, tap off extra, let image dry thoroughly
Step 7:  Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of the Graphic 45 patterned paper, use an ink blusher to add a little Electric Orange around the edges, tie an orange ribbon near the bottom then adhere to the front of the card
Step 8: Use Fitted Frames Set A, size Q to cut frames from the Sweet Potato cardstock (the larger frame) the from the dry, pasted image (the smaller matching frame)
Step 9: Adhere the two frames together and use foam tape to adhere to the front of the card

Don't forget we have a hop going on this week with Nathalie Kalbach's team. Stop over at the Stampendous Blog for that list of designers. There are prizes!

Happy Creating,
Louise
