Be Thankful!

The Stampendous Design Team has been busy for the last several weeks sharing lots of samples of our great Halloween stamps and stencils! Now it's time to share a new set that was released this past July that can be used throughout the year and is perfect for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. This week's theme of "A Wreath for All Seasons" features the versatile new Build A Wreath Cutting Die Set (DCP1007) from Stampendous plus a few others you'll see throughout the week. Today I am using the Build A Wreath set to create a "Be Thankful" card.

This set makes it easy to create a beautiful card, and it lets you use up some of those wonderful scraps of paper that were just too good to throw away!

"Be Thankful"

Stampendous:
DCP1007 Build A Wreath Die Set
ASCRS06 AS Cling Toxic Rubber Stamp Set

Plus:
My Colors Cardstock - Mandarin, Brown Eyes
Black Cardstock
Amuse Patterned Cardstock
Graphic45 November Flourish
Scraps of  Cardstock - Yellow, green, tan,
Kraft Cardstock
Copic Sketch Markers -  100
Distress Inks - gathered twig
Foam Applicator
Foam Tape
Die Cut Machine
Removable Tape
May Arts Ribbon

Instructions:
  1. Fold a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of the Amuse cardstock in half to form a top fold A2 card, rouge some gathered twigs ink along the edges of the front
  2. Cut a 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" piece of orange cardstock, ink edges lightly, adhere a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece  of black to it, adhere both to the card front
  3. Die cut a "wreath" from kraft cardstock, ink the edges, stamp a random pattern stamp from the Toxic set around to make it look like a straw wreath
  4. Die cut various leaves from scraps, cut three pine cones, ink the edges of all the pieces
  5. Decorate your wreath with the diecut pieces, use foam tape behind some pieces to add dimension
  6. Adhere the wreath to the black square, I used foam tape only at the top because the bottom already was thicker.
  7. Cut a phrase or two from the November Flourish paper, ink lightly, edge with a black marker and mount on a small piece of orange, adhere to the card where you want them
Here's a list of today's designers.

Happy Creating,
Louise
