Bee Mine!

It's almost Valentine's Day! Have you made a card for your special someone(s) yet??? Stampendous has so many wonderful stamps for creating the perfect card! This week the design team is sharing some designs featuring various stamps and stencils that fit our theme "Bee Mine!", right in time for Valentine's Day.

This is a card I made a while back using the Dreamweaver Honeycomb stencil (DWLJ806) in the background, paired with the adorable Garden Hive stamp (P280)

Step 1:  Fold a 6" x 9 1/2" piece of Pollen cardstock in half to form an A6 card

Step 2:  Stamp the Garden Hive on a 2 7/8" x 4 1/2" piece of Mixed Media paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, color with Copic Markers

Step 3:  Tape the Honeycomb stencil to a  4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of brown cardstock with removable tape, use a palette knife and paste spreader to apply a coat of Regular Embossing Paste over the stencil, remove stencil and place in water for cleaning, let paste dry

Step 4:  Color the dry paste with Copic Markers, trim edges close to the design

Step 5:  Adhere the Honeycomb to the card front setting it at an angle

Step 6:  Use Craft Glue Dots to attach a pink ribbon across the card

Step 7:  Adhere the Garden Hive to a 3" x 4 5/8" piece of brown cardstock and use foam tape to attach it to the honeycomb layer

Step 8:  Tie a small pink bow to match the ribbon, attach with a Craft Glue Dot
