Dreamweaver Thursday

It's Dreamweaver Thursday for the Stampdendous Design Team, and we're excited to bring you more projects to inspire you to try these great Dreamweaver products. It's Perfect Pets week for our team challenge this week, so I've combined Dreamweaver and the Perfect Pets theme along with some wonderful products from Faber-Castell.

We are also having a collaboration this week with the team from Faber-Castell - Design Memory Craft division, so be sure to check that out too over at the Stampendous Impressions Blog! There are prizes to be had!

Here's what I created for you today:

Due to severe allergies, there are no four legged pets in our house. But, we've had fish several times (you know why I have to say several times!), and used to put some big goldfish in our pond each summer. Used to...until the heron stopped by one day for lunch and punched a hole in our liner! We decided water lilies are pretty too.

To create the Koi and background, I used the Dreamweaver Koi stencil, LG613, the I Beams stencil, LX7028, with Regular Embossing Paste. After the paste was dry, I put the clean, dry stencil back over the design and colored with Faber-Castells beautiful PITT Pastel Pencils from the red/yellow set, blending the colors with a 1/4" stencil brush. I used the black from the neutrals set to add a little shading on the fish.

Be inspired by these team members too!

Happy Creating,
Louise

Beautifully stenciled...we have several "4-legged" friends and have never tried fish..afraid the kitties would maybe like them too much....LOL..lovely card!!

Oh dear - what a "fish" story - shame on that heron. Ugh. Well - your experience with fish shows in this card - it's lovely! j.

Gorgeous card, as usual! You always make the prettiest cards! Sorry to hear about your fish, I'm sure the heron thought he'd found the perfect sushi bar. Waterlilies are a lovely alternative!

Thanks, yes we had local cats too. But they mostly come for the birds! I have a cute kitty on my blog from yesterday, stop by and see that too!

I'm SO excited to try stenciling!! What a change from the old time consuming dry embossing with brass stencils and a light!! Just LOVE what you're doing with stencils now!!
