Here's my distress project for today:
Here are some of the supplies I used. |
- Fold a 6" x 9 1/4" piece of Core'dinations Tea Dye cardstock in half to form an A6 card
- Brush Quinacridone Gold from DecoArt around the edges of the front of the card, let dry
- Stamp the scratch pattern from the Andy Skinner Industrial set (ASCRS03) with Titan Buff from DecoArt, let dry
- Brush a combination of Quinacridone Gold, Paynes Grey, and Dura Clear Ultra Matte Varnish around the card edge, let dry
- Stamp the rust pattern from the Industrial set with Memento Tuxedo Black on cream cardstock until the piece is mostly covered in the rust pattern
- Brush a coat of Quinacridone Gold over the stamped rust pattern, let dry
- Paste the Pumpkin stencil, LL515, on cream cardstock with Regular Embossing Paste, remove stencil and sprinkle the wet paste with aged ochre emobssing enamel, tap off extra and heat set
- Brush a coat of Quinacridone Gold around the edges of the pumpkins, let dry
- Brush a combination of Quinacridone Gold, Paynes Grey, and Dura Clear Ultra Matte Varnish around the card edge, let dry
- Brush a large button with the same combination, sprinkle with some crushed Fran-tage fragments, pat into the varnish, let dry, then brush another coat over the fragments
- Layer everything together, use a Craft Glue Dot to add the button

Very cool card, Louise! I love all the rusty goodness! The button is a really cool finishing touch!
A very rich and rustic image, gorgeous work on the stenciled Pumpkins. Love how much this looks like a rusty metal sign.
Beautiful.
I love the shading behind the pumpkins. It shines.

I can almost smell the pumpkin pie when I look at this card. I love the layers and the textures that you created. It really is awesome to be able to take a plain piece of paper and turn it into a feeling of home and family.
Love that gorgeous feathered copper look!
Ohhh so pretty. I really like the effect of the texture. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice card! I too like the "light" around the pumpkins. It is a really interesting look.
