Sometimes looking at a Blank Canvas (catchy title right!) can be intimidating and it takes a little while to come up with an idea. But other times, you just know from the start what you want to do! This bag is the perfect size for the newer, larger cell phones, throw in a pack of tissues and a credit card and you're ready to go!

This bag can be kept simple, like mine, or decorated a bit more, like a couple you may have seen on Monday. Just wait until you see tomorrow's and Friday's! I was in a more simple mood when I did this. It is very easy.

  • Color the background with Copic markers (mine were Y21, YR21, Y17, YG93, YG95
  • Stamp the Queen Annes Lace several times, first with StazOn Spiced Chai, then a couple of times with StazOn Jet Black, heat set
  • Tape the Three Butterflies stencil (DWLL591) to the lower left side, and apply a coat of Matte Black Embossing Paste over the stencil, remove stencil, place in water for cleaning, let paste dry thoroughly
  • Color the outer part of the strap and stamp with one of the background stamps from the Andy Skinner Industrial set (ASCRS03) using the StazOn Spiced Chai
  • Thread some green ribbon through a large brown button (from Buttons Galore) and use ZipDry to add it to the top right corner of the bag
  • Use Beacon FabriTac to add a small piece of black mesh from May Arts along the bottom
That's it! Very easy. Here's a closer look:

That's so peaceful and dreamlike. I am sure that I lay in this meadow once as a child.

The green ribbon adds just the slight touch of color to set it off.
