This week the Stampendous Design Team is bringing you more great samples using techniques from Fran's new book!
Fran Seiford presents 35 years of experience with embossing powder to create a book featuring Techniques from A to Z. You’ll learn new and innovative techniques as well as brush up on the basics. Full color illustrations, printed in the USA. 104 pages.
Here's what I created using Technique Y, the two embossed panels were done with the version on pages 82-83
"Serenity" |
This was so much fun to create! Of course, crafting is always more fun when you are with a group of great crafting buddies. Here we are at my house this weekend working on this technique!
Melting party! See Fran's book there on the table. They all want one now! |
The powders I used were the Chunky Clear Deep Impression embossing enamel, Frantage shabby blue (top), aged ivory (middle), shabby green (bottom). The stamps are from CRS7005 Cling The Look (feather), and ASCRS04 Curiosity
(Antiques and words). They were inked with Archival Watering Can Ink before stamping.
The 5" x 7" canvas was painted with DecoArt media fluid acrylics Titan Buff, dried, swiped with a little Archival French Ultramarine Ink, then stamped in opposite corners with the peeling paint stamp from ASCRS06 Toxic using the Watering Can ink stamped off first. The cut up jute at the bottom was pressed into some Regular Embossing Paste tinted with a couple of drops of Titan Buff, and the panels were attached to the canvas using the Regular Embossing Paste as a "glue".
Another great addition to my craft room! |
The frame is a black frame wiped with some Titan Buff, let dry just a minute, wipe some off, then heated to dry completely |

Happy Creating,

Beautiful! The jute across the canvas adds a fun interest to those wonderful embossing powder elements! Thank you for sharing today!

Wow, Louise, this turned out awesome! Wish I'd been there to play, too!
I love your project. The speckles in the ep make it look like a fine glaze on pottery.
Louise the project is fantastic. I love the way you used the colors together. The sparkle is so beautiful.
