Gingerbread Joy!

The Stampendous Design Team has been busy for the last several months creating lots of samples with the great new stamps and stencils that were released in July and we are so happy to share them with you! This week's theme of "Baked Just For You!" features the adorable Gingerbread Baker set (CSD07).

Yesterday I shared the new Gingerbread Baker Clear Stamp and Die Set   on a fun little bag, perfect for sharing cookies with teachers, friends, mailman, whoever!

Today I've created a fun card from this versatile set and a background from the Dreamweaver Stencils line:

Instructions:

  1. Fold a 6" x 9 1/2" piece of Tropical Bay cardstock in half to form an A6 card
  2. Cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2 " piece of cream cardstock
  3. Tape the Holly Swirls stencil to the cream cardstock and tape in place with removable tape
  4. Use the fine line black pen to outline the openings of the stencil, remove stencil
  5. Color the holly design with Copic Markers
  6. Adhere a 1 3/4" x 4" piece of Yuletide Greetings near the bottom and a small strip of Good Cheer where the papers meet
  7. Adhere background to the card front
  8. Die cut the Gingerbread Baker from a piece of kraft cardstock, the hat from white, the apron from Good Cheer, and the bowl from Yuletide Greetings
  9. Stamp the face on the die cut image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, color the cheeks with the R27 and RV13 markers
  10. Shade around the edges of the Gingerbread Baker with the gathered twig ink
  11. Edge the apron and bowl with a black marker, use the fine line black pen to outline the pocket, lines on the bowl, and the baker's hat
  12. Color the hat with BG10 and BG72,  color the back side of the Heart, the stripe on the bowl and spoon on the bowl with R27
  13. Adhere the apron and hat to the Gingerbread Baker, use foam tape to add the baker to the card front
  14. Use foam tape to add the bowl to the baker making sure to have foam tape behind the heart, add the red heart to the opening
