Rose Skull

Only 5 More Weeks Until Halloween Season! It's time to start crafting your spooky home decor, make those party invites, or start preparing treats for visiting boys and ghouls. This week the Stampendous Design Team is Getting our "BOO" on!

Here's another one of my favorite samples I made for the July Release. It features the new Rose Skull stencil.  I had so much fun creating this card, it is an inspiring stencil! It makes a great Halloween card, or invitation to a Halloween party.

Creative Impressions 1/2" Purple Crepe Ribbon
Memento Inks - Cantaloupe, London Fog, Tuxedo Black
Foam Applicator
Foam Tape
Removable Tape

Instructions:
Step 1:  Fold a 7" x 10" piece of Concord Jam cardstock in half to form an A7 card
Step 2:  Cut a 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" piece of Orange Citrus Vintage paper, use the foam applicator to rouge some of the Memento Inks around the edges leaving the center lighter
Step 3: Tie a knot in a piece of purple ribbon, wrap the ends around the Orange Citrus layer and adhere on the back, adhere the layer to the card front
Step 4: Tape the Rose Skull to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white with removable tape
Step 5:  Use the black pen to trace around all the stencil openings, remove stencil
Step 6:  Draw some cobwebs and other doodles in some of the stencil open areas using the black pen
Step 7:  Color the image with Copic markers, trim to 3 3/4" x 4 3/4", use the foam applicator to rouge the edges with the Memento Inks
Step 8: Adhere the Rose Skull to a 4" x 5" piece of Grape Stripe paper, sprinkle aged silver embossing enamel and Champagne glass glitter in the upper right corner, heat from underneath to melt, repeat in the lower left corner
Step 9: Use foam tape to add the Rose Skull to the card front, setting it an an angle

Happy Creating,
Louise

Love the cobwebs in his (her?) brain! I have a little girl who just saw this card and she is loving it too! She asked me why he had flowers in her head. I told her that she was going on a date and she wanted to look pretty! Now she (Jenna) wants to make her a dress to wear on her date! LOL to be that young and free again!
Your card is beautiful! TFS!
