Summer By the Sea!

Summer vacation season is in full swing now. Hot, muggy days, mosquito filled nights, but we love the long days and a little less structure in our lives. We used to go to the Outer Banks for 2 weeks every summer. It seemed like it was always the hottest weeks of the year, but when you're by the ocean, who cares!

This week the Stampendous Design Team theme is "Seaside Summer Fun". The perfect theme for this card featuring the beautiful Dreamweaver Sailboat Stencil (DWLG755).

Instructions

Step 1: Fold a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of blue cardstock  in half to form an A2 card

Step 2:  Cut a 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" piece of Double-sided mounting paper and a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" piece of blue cardstock, attach the mounting paper to the blue cardstock

Step 3:  Place the Sailboat stencil face down on a paper towel, pat the back with VersaMark ink to coat the whole back of the stencil

Step 4:  Remove the release paper from the mounting paper and place the stencil, ink side down on the sticky surface, use a piece of release paper to press the stencil firmly to the mounting paper

Step 5:  Sprinkle the blue micro glitter  in all the openings and rub in gently, brush away the extra

Step 6: Turn the image face down on a clean paper towel and carefully peel the paper off the stencil, making sure to keep the stencil flat on the table

Step 7:  Sprinkle the background with Crystal Ultrafine glitter, rub in gently, and tap off excess

Step 8:  Tape the small opening of the Picasso stencil with removable tape, use a 1/2" stencil brush and blue ink to add some "clouds" behind the sailboat

Step 9:  Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of white paper, use the 1/2" brush to add "clouds" to the sky area and a 1/4" brush to add dark blue ink in the "water" area, adhere to the card front

Step 10:  Adhere the Sailboat to the card

Step 11: Stamp the saying on a 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" piece of white cardstock, brush a little blue ink around the edges, mount on a 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" piece of blue cardstock

Step 12:  Use foam tape to add the image to the front of the card

Hit New Heights!

What a great week! The Stampendous Design Team is so excited to be sharing our projects that feature the amazing products from Nathalie Kalbach! These sets include a two sided foam stamp, a cling rubber stamp, AND a stencil!  Like I said, AMAZING!

Today I created a very easy (but I like to think "sophisticated") birthday card. Really it took no time at all, ok, maybe 15 minutes start to finish.

Here are the Supplies and Instructions:

Stampendous:
NKCFS03 Urban Scribble Foam Stamp, Cling Rubber & Stencil Set
SSC1170 Soaring Sentiments Perfectly Clear Stamps Set
DCP1005 Fitted Frames A Die Cut Set, Size L
MPW811 Mixed Media White Paper

Dreamweaver:
DWNHB-12 1/2" Brush #12 Natural Handle

Plus:
My Color Cardstock - Seafoam
Brilliance Inks - P. Orchid, P. Lavender, P. Jade
Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black
Die Cut Machine

Step 1:  Cut a 7" x 10" piece of Seafoam paper and fold it in half to form an A7 card
Step 2:  Pat each of the Brilliance Inks randomly on the patterned side of the foam stamp
Step 3: Stamp the image on a 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" piece of the white paper, clean the stamp with water
Step 4: Ink the Cling Rubber Stamp with Tuxedo Black and stamp over the image you already stamped in color
Step 5:  Place the stencil over the "sky" area of the city and use the 1/2" stencil brush to add color with the P. Jade, remove the stencil and brush a little more color around the edge
Step 6:  Adhere the city to the card front
Step 7:  Stamp the saying on a small piece of white, use the fitted frames size L to cut the saying, and the matching larger L to cut a mat from a scrap of Seafoam
Step 8:  Use foam tape to add the saying to the card

Instructions:

Step 1:  Fold a 5" x 10" piece of blue cardstock in half to form a top fold card
Step 2:  Die cut two white frames from the Fitted Frames set A size E and set B size J

Step 3: Stamp the sayings from the Soaring Sentiments set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, edge with the R85 marker
Step 4:  Stamp the Umbrella Ride on a 2 1/2" x 3" piece of white with the black ink, color with Copic markers, trim to 2 3/8" x 2 5/8"
Step 5:  Cut another piece of white 2 5/8" x 2 7/8" and color with the R81 and R85 markers, edge with R89, adhere the mouse to the colored layer

Step 6:  Cut a 4" x 4" piece of the stripe paper, edge with R85, mount on a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" piece of white
Step 7:  Stamp the swirl stamp from the Mixed Media set on the front of the card with VersaMark, sprinkle with Crystal Embossing Powder, heat set

Step 8: Adhere the stripe layer at an angle on the card, then the mouse layer
Step 9: Use foam tape to add the sayings to the card

Pop-Ups and Puppies Dreamweaver Style!

The Stampendous Design team has been having fun all week with TWO great challenges: Pop Ups and Puppies for our weekly Stampendous theme, and a blog hop with Linnie Blooms design team (be sure to go to the Stampendous blog to check out the details...there are prizes involved!) If that wasn't enough to keep us busy, we can't forget our Dreamweaver Thursdays!
Today I am combining Dreamweaver Thursday and the Pop Ups and Puppies theme in this fun Graduation card. Yes, it's that time of year when we all need a few of these cards around.

The front of the card, featuring LL3003 Hot Air Balloon, Regular Embossing Paste, inks,
and the "It's your day!" from Soaring Sentiments SSC1170

Another balloon floating in a sky of fluffy clouds created with the Picasso tool LL332,
another saying from Soaring Sentiments, and Congratulations from the Say It Today set SSC1190,
but the main character is the darling Dreamweaver Dog stencil LL3029, paste embossed with Matte Black,
sprinkled with Stampendous aged ochre embossing enamel while the paste was wet, heated when dry,
a little Gold Micro glitter on his collar, a cute graduation hat and gold tassel finish it all off!
