Say It with Flowers!

There is no better way to make someone's day than with flowers! I love getting and giving fresh beautiful flowers. Of course, I have a BS in Horticulture, and was a Floral Design TA during college, so I'm a little biased.

This week the Stampendous Design Team members are sharing Floral or Foliage creations. We have so many beautiful stamps and stencils to fit this theme that we could probably post for weeks! Today I'm sharing the lovely Dreamweaver Oval Rose Stencil (DWLM170).  This would make a wonderful anniversary card for the special someone in your life, or change the saying and it could be the perfect Sympathy card too, or birthday, or get well...whatever occasion you need!

Tropical Treasures!

How does a pineapple fit into a "Flowers and Foliage" theme?  Well, a flower formed and was pollinated, then the fruit grew, and the foliage on the top can be cut off and grown into another plant! So see, it does fit.  Okay, maybe I'm pushing it a little, but I haven't shared this great card with you yet and I wanted you to see it!  It's a combination of the Dreamweaver Pineapple Stencil (DWLL482) in the background, and the Stampendous Tropical Pineapple Stamp (P281) as the focal point. They go together perfectly!

It could be a Bon Voyage card, or Wish You Were Here card from your Hawaiian vacation (although that would be kind of cruel). Best of all, it would make a GREAT Welcome to the Neighborhood, or New Home card.

Summer Flowers

Summer gardens are in full bloom now. I just love seeing the different gardens people have as I go about my day. Some are a wild mess (like mine!), some are neat and tidy, but the ones I love best are a combination of neatness with a dash of wildness! And color, oh my, the colors are fabulous!

The Stampendous Design Team is sharing Floral and Foliage themed cards this week. Here's one I did a while back for the April catalog.  I love poppies, and the Poppy Fields Stamp makes it so quick and easy to create a beautiful card.

Summer vacation season is in full swing now. Hot, muggy days, mosquito filled nights, but we love the long days and a little less structure in our lives. We used to go to the Outer Banks for 2 weeks every summer. It seemed like it was always the hottest weeks of the year, but when you're by the ocean, who cares!

This week the Stampendous Design Team theme is "Seaside Summer Fun". The perfect theme for this card featuring the beautiful Dreamweaver Sailboat Stencil (DWLG755).

Step 4: Ink the Cling Rubber Stamp with Tuxedo Black and stamp over the image you already stamped in color
