I teach at several stores in the Illinois and Wisconsin area and today I am sharing three cards that I designed last fall for classes. The beautiful Heart Ornaments stencil - LJ921 had just been released and, needless to say, it was a big hit. When I teach a class, I like to use one stencil and teach 3 different techniques to use with that stencil (or any stencil really!). Here they are:
So there you have it! Three very different cards with the same stencil. I hope you've been inspired this week to start your holiday cards! Don't miss our grand finale tomorrow when all the designers will be playing along. It's going to be fabulous I know!
Remember, the products featured here can be purchased in the UK from stores listed on the Woodware UK site
LJ921 - Heart Ornaments Metallic Gold Embossing Paste with green glitter on the needles while the paste is still wet, and gold leafing (red leafing) added to the hearts after the paste was dry |
LJ921 - Heart Ornaments Molten Magic technique with Pearlescent Embossing Paste and Metallic F/X powders sprinkled on wet paste then heated until bubbly |
LJ910 - Rolling Hills dry embossed for the background LJ921 - Heart Ornaments pasted on acetate with Regular Embossing Paste, colored with stencil brushes and inks when the paste is dry, dries white glue for the drips on the hearts, Regular Embossing Paste sculpted onto the branches and sprinkled with Crystal glitter while wet This card was inspired by one our very talented team leader, Pam Hornshu, had created for CHA that summer. |

Louise I love them all! It is so nice to see the stencil used in different ways. Thank you, I bet it was a very good class.
Thank you for the wonderful inspiration, all three cards are gorgeous.
These cards are all delightful! And it just goes to show how many ways you can use the same stencil.
Very inspiring.

My favorite (if I had to choose) is the 3rd card with the dimensional snow on the branches and hearts. This is one of my fav stencils as I love hearts all year long. As always Louise, you continue to inspire us!
These are all lovely - I think I'd have to vote for the gilded version if I was pushed though :)
Fabulous techniques on all cards. Thank you for sharing your class ideas!!! Have a good day Louise!!!
All three cards are beautiful but the last one is my fav! I love the rolling hills stencil in the background for added texture! The "snow" on the branch is perfect! I think I NEED this stencil!
This is the stencil I just bought!! LOL!! Your cards are so gorgeous and beautiful!! I can't wait to try these techniques!!!
I am IMPRESSED! Your cards are over the top beautiful!!!
Paper Hugs,
Jan
You're such a show-off! I love all three cards (thanks for the nod to my card). This would be a great class!
What a great trio of cards! I love all the techniques, but the hearts on the first are my very favorite.
